Karen Thurlow

ARTIST’S STATEMENT  

"I do not remember a time that I was not making art. It Is as necessary to me as breathing or eating. I spent my child hood drawing pictures that told stories and I am still letting my art tell the story. The subject matter I choose usually has a touch of nostalgia and Is something close to my heart I have worked In several medias over the years and am now using watercolor, acrylic and other water related tools."

Karen was born in Red Cloud, "Nebraska, and has lived in Nebraska most of her life. 5he has studied art with private Instructors and through workshops. Karen has taught art classes and workshops in state. She has been active In art clubs and art related activities here. Karen is vice president of the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs.
